Hanoi to Saigon via the Ho Chi Minh Trail
Day 1: Hanoi to Mai Chau Depart from Hanoi in the morning, riding through the lush Vietnamese countryside. Enjoy a scenic lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Arrive in Mai Chau by late afternoon, explore the charming valley, enjoy a traditional dinner, and stay overnight at a Thai village homestay.
Day 2: Mai Chau to Vinh Leave Mai Chau after breakfast, riding through beautiful landscapes and rural villages. Stop for lunch at a local eatery. Arrive in Vinh by late afternoon, explore the town, have dinner, and stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 3: Vinh to Phong Nha Depart Vinh in the morning, traveling through scenic mountain roads and small towns. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Arrive in Phong Nha by late afternoon, explore the stunning Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, have dinner, and stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 4: Phong Nha to Khe Sanh/Lao Bao Leave Phong Nha after breakfast, riding through rugged terrain and historic sites along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Stop for lunch at a local eatery. Arrive in Khe Sanh or Lao Bao by late afternoon, explore the historical sites, have dinner, and stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 5: Khe Sanh/Lao Bao to Hue Depart Khe Sanh or Lao Bao in the morning, traveling through picturesque mountain passes. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Arrive in Hue by late afternoon, explore the ancient citadel, have dinner, and stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 6: Hue Exploration Spend the day exploring Hue, visiting the Imperial City, royal tombs, and other historical sites. Enjoy traditional Hue cuisine for lunch. Spend the night at the hotel in Hue.
Day 7: Hue to Hoi An Leave Hue after breakfast, riding along the scenic coastal roads and through the Hai Van Pass. Stop for lunch at a local eatery. Arrive in Hoi An by late afternoon, explore the ancient town, have dinner, and stay overnight at a hotel.

Trip went off without a hitch, Hai and his team were very organized, excellent support with a mechanic and support vehicle to take our luggage and any souvenirs we bought from local markets. We enjoyed great Vietnamese cuisine, very good standards of accommodation, excellent riding of all types.

This trip was spectacular, from the excursions, the food, the places we stayed to our wonderful guides of Tan and Long. We had a wonderful time going on and off road. There was some challenging spots, but we lived to celebrate the awesome time. Everything we did was away from tourist, but immersed into the culture. Fantastic 12 day motorcycle tour of NW Vietnam off road thru the mountains and then down the history trail following the Ho Chi Min trail. Hai our leader and Long our mechanic were just the best. I cannot think of a better way to see Vietnam and with Hai’s 20 years of experience and knowledge you will see things not only tourists but most Vietnamese gone get to see. Excellent family motorbike trip from Hanoi to Hoi An. , We had a motorbike with sidecar for kids and a Moped. Hai and Cong ensured our family had an amazing time with great riding, unbelievable local food and fun company, The days were full with lots of rest stops.
