Why Ha Giang
Vietnam’s Last Wild Frontier
Ha Giang Province sits hard against the Chinese border in Vietnam’s far north —
a landscape of soaring limestone karst, terraced rice fields, and high mountain
passes that most travellers never reach. The Ha Giang Loop is widely
considered the greatest motorbike route in Southeast Asia.
The iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass drops 1,200 metres into the Nho Que
River gorge. The Dong Van Karst Plateau — a UNESCO Global Geopark
— stretches to the horizon in ancient, otherworldly rock. Remote Hmong, Tay, and
Dao hill-tribe villages give riders a window into a way of life unchanged for generations.
We Ride Vietnam has been guiding riders through Ha Giang since 2015. Our expert
local guides know every back road, every viewpoint, and every family-run guesthouse
that makes the experience truly authentic.
